One long-running and one new member of the borough assembly will be seated in late October.

A Tuesday evening election canvas, made up of current assembly members, counted 14 remaining ballots. 

Gabe Thomas was re-elected to the assembly with a final total of 597 votes, Eben Sargent unseated incumbent Richard Clement with the former’s 561 votes to the latter’s 480 votes. John Norton came in third in the rankings with 500 votes. 

Planning commission seats went to incumbents Rachel Saitzyk and Dan Schultz who brought in 548 votes and 480 votes respectively. The three other candidates were Nathanael Reams with 461 votes, Kim Rosado with 456 and Joe Parnell with 135 votes. 

The seasonal sales tax ballot proposition passed with a final tally of 573 for and 518 voting against it. 

The election results will be officially certified on Oct. 28.
