Sunday is the last day a resident can register to vote, or update their mailing address, for Haines’ upcoming election.
On the ballot this year are four candidates for two open seats on the assembly, five candidates for two open seats on the planning commission, two candidates for two open seats on the school board and a seasonal sales tax proposition.
Borough elections will take place on Oct. 7, and in-person voting will take place at Haines No. 1 in the ANB/ANS Hall at the corner of 1st Avenue and Willard Street. Or, Haines. 2 in the Klehini Valley Fire Department on Mosquito Lake Road.
The borough administration polling place will be open for early voting from September 22-October 6.
