Southeast Alaska Independent Living and Takshanuk Watershed Council thank all the amazing women who made the Sea to Summit Girls’ Adventure Camp a success. We are grateful to Shelby Flemming from ADFG for teaching the girls about bear safety and how to properly use bear spray. Thank you, Amelia Nash, for teaching latch-hook fiber art and providing all the supplies. The girls loved it! A huge thank you to Sarah Jaymont for getting us all sweating at the WERQ class and thank you SEAK Expeditions and Emma Dohrn for taking us sea kayaking! What a blast! We greatly appreciate Chris Hill for the tie-dye night and Natalie Dawson for teaching fry baking over the camp stove. This town is full of amazing, inspiring women, and we appreciate each one of you for sharing your skills and providing our campers with enriching activities to encourage, inspire, and empower them on their journey.
