Thank you for supporting both the annual rummage sale and the volunteer training. Through your generous donations and purchases, the sale netted over $13,000. A special thank you to the more than 60 volunteers who gave over 400 hours in time and energy. Community Waste Solutions, SoutheastAlaska State Fair, ANB Hall and Mountain Market, Hospice of Haines is ever grateful for your donations and your support of this event. And, a special thank you to the 10 community members who spent over 18 hours in training, learning more about caregiving, death and dying processes and the skills to be either a caregiver and/or a volunteer. We appreciated Hospice of Haines volunteers who helped us with the hospital bed, Dr. Adam and Emily McMahan for presenting and our own Liz Marantz-Falvey, who traveled especially to Haines to assist in the training. The board and staff are also grateful to the trainees who made a special donation to HOH while at training. Every bit helps! Finally, a great thanks to the board of directors for Hospice of Haines. You support this organization with your time, your talents, your compassion and with great food for all the big and little moments.
