Our mother, and 50-plus years Haines resident, Barbara Pardee was involved in a scary car accident a few weeks ago. She is recovering well and escaped critical injuries — which we are so thankful for.
We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the amazing care and responsiveness of the Haines volunteer EMS team and the fabulous care by the entire team of healthcare providers at SEARHC.
We know many people were quick to offer aid immediately after her accident and so many also offered their love and prayers following it. A special thank you to Sarah Elliott for holding my mom’s hand and making calls to alert others for help. You are a gift to our family and our community!
Our family would like to recognize the many unnamed heroes of that day. Your kindness, skill and compassion does not go unnoticed.
Once again, Haines will always be remarkable for its beauty and the wonderful people that call it home.
