Sunday, November 10 

Caller reported a bear opening car doors – officer responded but the bear had already left the area. 

Caller requested a wounded bear be removed from the townsite area – caller stated it could be tranquilized and removed to a safe location and that he often walks around in fear of the bear. Caller has not seen or run across the bear but has seen videos posted to Facebook. 

Caller reported two males overdue and requested a search and rescue – AST advised. 

Monday, November 11

A burglary alarm was received in dispatch – an officer responded and found there was a work crew in the building. 

An officer assisted another agency. 

Caller reported the dumpster at Picture Point had been upset and trash was everywhere – officers and public works were advised. 

Dispatch took caller’s information for a lost wallet. 

Tuesday, November 12

Caller on Beach Road reported an unauthorized person on their property taking pictures of their stuff. 

Caller reported an unauthorized person called them last night to stay at their house but the doors were locked – caller stated they had only met the person once and told them they could not stay there. 

Caller reported a bus on his property that he did not give permission to be there – an officer responded and advised the person to move the bus. 

Caller turned in a small Masterlock padlock. 

Wednesday, November 13

An officer assisted another agency. 

A driver was given a verbal warning on the Haines Highway for entering in the wrong way on a one-way street. 

Caller reported a yellow bus had been moved into their parking lot without permission – an officer responded. 

Thursday, November 14

Caller reported a large bear just ran past his yard – an officer responded but the bear had gone. 

An officer reported the bus had been moved. 

A driver was advised the tags on his car were expired. 

Caller reported an electrical fire on Front Street – an officer and the volunteer fire department responded. 

Friday, November 15

Caller reported a wounded bear in the area – an officer responded but the bear was gone. 

Saturday, November 16

Caller reported a bear had gotten into his vehicle but he had scared it off. 

There was one 911 hang up calls and 13 EMS calls during this reporting.
