Three new members of the borough assembly will be seated in late October.
A Tuesday evening election canvas, made up of current assembly members, counted 27 ballots on Tuesday evening. Those included 11 absentee ballots, 11 qualified question ballots and 5 special needs ballots, said borough clerk Kristine Kennedy before she started unsealing ballots and tallying votes.
Cheryl Stickler and Mark Smith were elected to three-year terms with 658 and 581 respectively. Richard Clement landed a one-year seat on the assembly with 578 votes.
Planning commission seats went to Jerry Lapp, who got 702 votes, and Eben Sargent, who got 628 votes. On the school board, incumbents Brian Clay, Kari Johnson and Michael Wald were all voted back onto the board with 690, 702, and 625 votes respectively.
A ballot initiative that raised the property tax exemption to $300,000 for some residents including those who are 65 years old or older, disabled veterans whose disability has been rated at 50 percent or more, and 60-year-old residents who are widows or widowers of a person who qualified for an exemption also passed with a total of 654 votes.
The election results will be officially certified on Oct. 22.
