After watching the drag show at the fair, I was glad to see the support of lots of folks, so I tried to understand the objections that have been thrown around nationwide. It seems like as long as you are bringing a good show to the stage, I dont care what gender you are representing, I just want to appreciate your art/show.
Then I pick up the CVN of July 27 and there is a front page photo of a young army “specialist” encouraging young kids how to become a better sniper/killer. What exactly are we “grooming” our children for? I am saddened that some would rather glorify war for our youngsters instead of acknowledging diversity. I am an old guy, but I remember there used to be a strong anti war sentiment among the younger generation.
Where have all the flowers gone? When will we ever learn?
