The Haines Woman’s Club is humbled and grateful for the wonderful turnout this past weekend for their first post-Covid Holiday Bazaar. While there were fewer vendors than before, the ones who graced the halls of the school on Saturday were enthusiastic, diverse and very popular with our large crowd of shoppers (Loved the kittens!) We would like to thank the school for hosting our event, the American Bald Eagle Foundation for loaning us their tables and the School Art Club for set-up and take-down of those tables. We must thank Charlotte Olerud, Leanne Converse and Anita Hunter, non-members who contributed to the Chili Feed and Bake sale – much appreciated! Also, the Takshanuk Watershed Council for giving us baked goods left from their function on Friday. Without this donation we would have had no Gluten Free items! We give a huge thanks to our “Auxiliary” (husbands), who hauled, fetched, helped with both set-up and take-down and ran the Chili table with grace and humor! And to all the Woman’s Club members who made chili and baked and baked and baked…a huge round of applause! We made our goal and will have sufficient funds for our three annual scholarships for our Haines High graduates. Thank you one and all for coming and buying, because without you, where would we be?
