Fall time and election season are upon us here in Haines. It is time once again for us to be mindful as we choose who will represent us and steer the course for our community. Having been on the assembly, I have an intimate knowledge of the time, energy and effort required to be an effective member of our local government. Ben Altman-Moore has the qualities that will make him a valuable asset to the Haines Borough Assembly. He is articulate in both written and spoken word. He is an attentive listener and seriously considers what he hears. He is reasonable and even-keeled. Ben is intelligent and invested in the Haines community and the Chilkat Valley. He works hard to be successful in his timber frame and construction business and he will work hard to do what is in the best interest of the Haines Borough. Vote for Ben on Oct. 4.
