To put a twist on a local phrase: If you swam at the Haines Pool, I’d know your name (well, mostly). The point is that the pool is a great community resource, in several ways. Besides the obvious physical benefits, there is comradery at the pool among the swimmers–an uplifting social atmosphere– furthered by the welcoming, accommodating, and general cheerful attitude among the manager and staff. They’re happy to have you there and they let you know it! Thanks pool staff and Haines for all your positive aquatic efforts.
