The Haines Borough will renew enforcement of boat launch permits at the Small Boat Harbor ramp now that it has officially accepted completion of the harbor expansion project.
Permits cost $60 per boat trailer annually or $15 daily. They are sold at the harbormaster’s office and borough administration building.
Each second, third or fourth trailer costs $30 per year. Each after that is $60.
The borough hasn’t enforced launch permits at the downtown harbor since the expansion project started in 2017, but it has been enforcing them at other ramps.
