Two seats are open on the Chilkoot Indian Association tribal council. The deadline for declarations of candidacy and the nominations meeting is 5:30 p.m. on April 11. Stop by the tribal office on Third Avenue across from the library to get a declaration of candidacy form and nominations petition. The election will be held at the tribal office 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8.
