I would like to offer a sincere apology to the community. I was assigned the task of coordinating community cleanup this year and through a combination of being new to Haines and being unfamiliar with the process, I unknowingly made many mistakes and left important things undone. I take responsibility for community cleanup not reaching its full potential this year. I appreciate your forgiveness and have learned lessons for next year. Right now you can continue to pick up yellow bags and schedule pickups or drop off these bags yourself until the end of May.
