When Hospice of Haines realized that COVID-19 restrictions would make our annual spring rummage extravaganza at the fairgrounds impossible for the second year in a row, we decided to try a do-it-yourself garage sale hoping for a fraction of our usual fundraising goal, yet knowing that every little bit helps. We are awed, humbled and amazed that we raised about $9,500 dollars. We thank the volunteer hosts for their generosity, energy, time and hard work. We thank all of you who donated good stuff to them and all of you who bought something and paid more than you needed to in order to support us. This is why we love this community and why our volunteers do what we can to help make aging in place, or dying at home, possible.
Gratefully,
Nancy Schnabel, Hospice of Haines president
