Last week’s article in the Chilkat Valley News headlined “Veteran science teacher hangs up his spurs,” incorrectly reported that teacher Mark Fontenot was the longest serving teacher in the district. Lisa Andriesen is currently the longest serving teacher. Fontenot was hired in 1994. Andriesen was hired in 1991.
