The 13th annual Miles Klehini Ski Classic was held on Sunday. Forty friends and families gathered around the fire ring at the 25 Mile Wilderness Memorial. Hot dogs, lentil chili, and hot chocolate were shared following a slide around the beautiful 8 kilometer course to the confluence of the Chilkat and Klehini Rivers. Skiers caught some of the last firm snow on a beautiful track freshly set by Jim Stanford. Thanks to all for the camaraderie, door prizes and food. It felt extra special to be getting together once again following the uncertain events we all faced after last year’s race.
