I’m writing this note to make my apology to those who I may have caused anxiety, discomfort, or required their participation in legal proceedings regarding my entry into the Evacuated Beach Road slide area on Dec. 10, 2020. At this point I have some community service hours to serve, and this letter of apology to those who I may have impacted by my trip that day. Those impacts are unfortunate and regrettable, however at the time it seemed to me that my efforts might prevent further loss of life.
