I am ashamed of my country’s government and many of our elected representatives.  They ordered many of our young men and women in the armed forces to Afghanistan and other places where they were placed in harm’s way for very dubious reasons. Some of them came back in body bags or missing limbs or horribly disfigured. Our government gave them military honors, minimal assistance and basically forgot about them. After all, who can worry about a few…
