I would like to respond to Sharon Resnick’s letter from last week. Since I also worked in Emergency Logistics under Sylvia Heinz and Brenda Joesphson, I feel I have first-hand knowledge.  First off, from my view point: When you are involved in working a crisis you don’t know what, or care what, political leanings someone has, only that they get the job done. I worked with both teams and I would do it again in a heartbeat if needed. To politicize this event, because in your opinion Ms. Joesphson is as you said “politically  toxic,” is unfair and totally inappropriate.  The hours put in, and the hours still being put in are extraordinary. And remember this is a volunteer effort.  Ms. Resnick, you are welcome to your political opinions just as I am, but please, unless you have a point you are trying to make here other than being mean and vindictive, allow this community to heal.  Please allow us to have time to get our heads wrapped around what has happened and the long slow, slow process of healing.
