I would like a shout out to David Simmons at HEDC. I was unaware that he was here to help me and I contacted the wrong person about my question on the Cares Act. Although Juneau said it was a good question and that they would get back to me, they still haven’t and I probably filed a day late. (Just hoping the families with kids at home were able to get in on that.) Then a second program for fishermen came out and I contacted the Juneau address given for the forms and was sent various pages – except one crucial form. Again, thank you to David for his knowledge and
assistance. He helped bring some needed money to the fishing community
and therefore to Haines. I think we should fund HEDC.
