In last week’s article “Should the borough have a role in child care?” Kim Larson’s child care rates were reported as “very close” to $861 a month for full-time infant care, $744 for toddlers, and $655 for preschool-age children, averaging roughly $4.00 an hour for child care from Larson. It should have been reported that her rates are “very close” to $750 a month for full-time infant care, $725 for toddlers, and $670 for preschool-age children, or roughly $3.67 an hour on average.
The article also left “Mustard” out of Candice Mustard-Scott’s name and incorrectly stated that Mustard-Scott started her business after moving to Haines because she couldn’t find childcare. She started her business in Virginia for that reason and continued Montessori Moments in Haines to provide additional options.
