Haines Woman’s Club would like to thank the residents of Haines for their support in our fundraising efforts this past year. Starting in March we worked to raise $5,000 to purchase a SawStop table saw for the school. Thanks to everyone who dropped change into our collection cans, purchased cookies at the KCIBR finish line, and pies and root beer floats on the 4th of July. Special thanks to Zen Bathworks for their very generous donation and Alaska Marines Lines for donating the freight cost of the 750 pound box from Seattle to Haines. We would also like to thank our vendors and the shoppers for their support of our 87th Christmas Bazaar. Special thanks to those who donated to our baked goods table: Annette Smith, Charlotte Olerud, CJ Jones, Joan Snyder, Molly Sturdevant, and to James Alborough and Jim Clement, our men’s auxiliary who served up the chili. We reached our goal of $3,000 so we can again offer three scholarships to residents of Haines. Thank you all and hope you have a happy holiday season.
