The Haines High School track team got a running start to their season in Juneau last weekend and now is gearing up for a home meet.
Freshman Mark Davis, who coach Pete Degen said just recently learned how to hurdle, placed fifth in the 300-meter hurdles and achieved a personal record of 50.02 seconds. “It’s arguably the hardest race,” Degen said.
