On April 14th, nine individuals completed the 18-hour Hospice of Haines volunteer training. Thank you, Shannon Caton, Albert Giddings, Joy Graves, Teresa Hura, Martha Mackowiak, Cesre McQuaid, Dena Selby, Evelyna Vignola and Donna Zahnow, for your kind hearts and focused intentions to support our mission. And a very big thanks to those who volunteer to teach the required skills: thank you to our Bereavement Facilitator, Liz Marantz-Falvey, for your all-inclusive presentations; thank you Shannon McPhetres, our Volunteer Coordinator; thank you, Al Badgley, Haines Volunteer Fire Department, and Bev McLaughlin and Deb Kemp from Cornerstone Home Health for offering your expertise year after year. Thank you, Dr. Adam McMahan from SEARHC. And thanks to our hospice volunteers Vince Hansen, volunteer since 2002 and Barb Blood, volunteer since 2010. Our non-profit mission of assisting elders remains strong and viable because our volunteers are deeply caring, selfless and committed to those individuals we serve.

Grateful for the collaboration of all, Beth MacCready
