The recent letter by Joe Poor intrigued me. Joe tried to ascertain the identity of Eric Holle. Both Joe and Eric have lived here for a long time and both regularly speak at local meetings. We all know, in Haines… “If you live here, we know your name!”
In Joe’s search for Eric’s identity, he discovered that Eric is the president of Lynn Canal Conservation. I have a suggestion for Joe. Rather than spend your money on another long CVN paid editorial monologue, why not walk into the Lynn Canal Conservation office and invite Eric out for cup of coffee? I know Eric to be an intelligent and reasonable guy, and I think of you as the “Johnny Appleseed” of Haines. If the two of you sat down and talked face-to-face, I’m willing to bet you’d find some common ground.
