In response to Eric Holle’s Letter to Editor published in last Thursday’s issue, it is difficult to respond adequately in the Chilkat Valley News’ 250-word limit.
To meet those requirements would require editing so tightly that my response to you might be interpreted as cryptic or short, so I will prepare another Paid Commentary to answer your questions with proper respect. I apologize for this slight delay but you have asked questions that deserve an adequate answer.
I did search our local phone directory for your name, not listed, and assume you are a resident of Haines. An internet search indicates that according to a 1999 report in the Juneau Empire, you are an accomplished musician and worked “seasonally for the Sport Fish Division of the Alaska Department of Fish and Game” As I searched I also found out that you are the president of Haines-based Lynn Canal Conservation, helping me understand the basis of your questions.
