We here at The Salvation Army would like to thank those in the Haines community who continue to support us, as we continue “Doing The Most Good.” Over the past year we have seen a great increase in many of the services that we provide such as the food bank, energy and rental assistance, youth/adult character-building programs and spiritual/psychological first aid.
We have also been called out of town on a number of different occasions to complete our continuing education, which is a requirement for officers of The Salvation Army. Because of this the hours that we have been able to keep the Family Store open have been rather sporadic. We appreciate your patience as we strive to keep this great community resource open as much as possible.
At the beginning of May, we will switch over to our summer hours and be open five days a week, six hours a day. There will, however, be times that conflicts in the schedule cannot be avoided, so please have patience with us. We are doing our best to serve this great community and give as much attention as we can to those things with the greatest priority. It is an honor and a privilege to serve in the great community of Haines. Thank you.
