Haines Woman’s Club is offering three $1,000 scholarships this year. All three are open to students who have been a resident of Haines Borough for at least two years and are a Haines High School, Klukwan School or home-school student or graduate.
The Mildred Hermann scholarship is open to boys and girls who are graduating this year. This year the recipient of the Haines Mildred Hermann scholarship will be entered for the State Women’s Club’s Mildred Hermann Scholarship.
The Continuing Education scholarship is open to all students who have successfully completed one year of post-secondary education.
The Pat Jones scholarship is open to all 14 to 19-year-old Haines residents who have completed their sophomore year or equivalent of high school. All applications are due April 20. Please go to hbsd.net and search Haines Scholarships for more information or contact me for more information.
