The men’s Haines Gold Medal Tournament teams have won all their games so far in the regional basketball tournament in Juneau.
The C bracket team beat Kake by more than 10 points on the opening day of the tournament and beat the Philcom team Monday evening. The C bracket team consists of players more than 32-years-old and has won the tournament the past two years. They play Angoon on Thursday and the winner of that game will play in the championship.
The B bracket includes a Klukwan and Haines team. Those two teams match up on Thursday to determine who will play in the final round.
The Haines women’s team lost their first game against a team from Yakatat and play again Wednesday evening. If they win, they’ll face off again on Thursday for a spot in the championship game.
The masters bracket, players more than 42-years-old, also play on Thursday for a spot in the finals.
