The Alaska Arts Confluence launched a community engagement survey aimed at informing government and community leaders what kind of planning topics are important to residents.
Carol Tuynman, creative director of the arts confluence, said the survey will help the community see where it has shared values and where it can find common ground to work proactively to implement plans.
“We want to hear from the many people in Haines who may or may not attend meetings, write letters to the editor or have other high profile engagement in the community with regard to planning, and who are genuinely engaged in their own sphere with a wealth of ideas, information and experience that deserves to be acknowledged and brought into the planning process for the borough,” Tuynman said.
The results will be used to inform future community planning discussions, Tuynman said.
The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete and can be found at http://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ZFQ9DNG
