The community Thanksgiving dinner that The Ministerial Association has sponsored for the past few years has been a good opportunity for friends to get together and have a few minutes to fellowship on Thanksgiving Day. The downside is that those from The Ministerial Association and other key volunteers are unable to sit down with their families and have a Thanksgiving meal.
A large number of the people who have made this community event so successful just really need a break this year, so that they can spend quality time with their families. After numerous conversations with The Ministerial Association and the volunteers, we have decided to postpone the community Thanksgiving dinner, and pick it up again next year. There are just too many people that have already made plans to spend this day with their family.
The volunteers who have made this event possible, have given tirelessly of their time and talents, and in all fairness to them, we would like to give them the opportunity to spend Thanksgiving with their families.
We would like to thank those who have already volunteered to be part of this event, and we hope that you will volunteer for other things during the holiday season this year, as well as the Thanksgiving dinner when we start up again in 2018. We also hope that through the holiday season, as always, you would attend a church of your choosing. God bless!
