Klukwan and Haines students head back to school

The Phrase of the Week “Yak’éi ixwsiteení!” (It is good to see you!) greeted students Monday morning at Klukwan school on their first day back.

Twenty-three students from preschool through twelfth grade will be attending school this year, about 10 more than the beginning of last year. A new preschool through second grade teacher, Janice Byerlee, will also be joining the staff.
