SEARHC is offering a free program to boost interested residents’ health and fitness goals. Beginning Wednesday, Sept. 13, SEARHC’s Healthy Lifestyle program, designed to improve life-long eating and fitness habits, will hold classes at the Haines Health Center.

The 16-week program, including consideration for vacation and holiday weeks, will guide participants each Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. through goal setting, healthier food choices and a simple exercise program in a comfortable small group setting.

Using an evidence-based curriculum, the noontime classes will lead participants in losing up to seven percent of their body weight by eating healthier and exercising just two-and-a-half hours each week.

Ask your health provider for a consult or, if it has been awhile, you can schedule a check-up at SEARHC to ensure you are a good fit for the program by contacting the front desk at 766-6300.

Sessions will be held in the Conference Room of the Haines Health Center. After the first introductory session the program is scheduled to conclude on Jan. 10.
