If you read some of the articles and inserts about the recall, then you know that the primary reason for the recall had nothing to do with violation of any borough regulations, but how assembly members voted on certain issues. Amazingly only the people who voted “wrong” were targeted. Since there are multiple factions in Haines, the recall would introduce a new dynamic in city politics. Every time an assembly member votes “wrong,” there will likely be an outcry for a recall. Think of all the consequences and expenses likely to result. Support good government and vote no.
