Let me see if I understand the latest plan to separate us from our hard-earned wages. The assembly wants to institute new taxes on tobacco, alcohol and marijuana that we cannot afford and don’t want to pay, to pay for police protection for people who don’t want it and don’t want to pay for it. Do you realize that for a guy and his wife, that both smoke a pack-a-day they will be paying $120 a month? If you people would stop paying headhunters and severance packages to the people they come up with, you would have plenty of money for whatever wild schemes you want to pay for.
