To the residents of the Haines Borough, particularly those within 500 feet of our house located at 527 Dalton Street, Haines, Alaska, we apologize if we have offended anyone by removing the tops of the cottonwood trees in the alley behind our house. We did not have a permit to do so and will pay the $2,500 fine assessed upon us by the Haines Borough.
