I was recently quoted in a Chilkat Valley News article where the words I used were an inaccurate depiction of my views. I would like to clarify that personally and as the Tourism Director at no time would I ever be anything other than welcoming to anyone who wanted to come to Haines as a visitor or new resident. I am sorry the words that I used may have conveyed differently. I am very excited to have been offered this opportunity to represent the entire community of Haines and I will endeavor to do so to the best of my ability. Thank you very much.
