I would ask that Don Turner Jr., Ryan Cook, Terry Pardee, J. Dwight Downer, Michael Binkie, Ronald Malone, Marty Smith, Shane Horton, Robert Adams, and Melissa Snell consider the following: Treat people the way you’d like to be treated. Do not impose on others what you do not wish for yourself. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Hurt not others with that which pains yourself. Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. Whatever is disagreeable to yourself, do not do unto others. What you do not want done to yourself, do not do to others. Whatsoever ye would that others should do to you, do ye even so to them.
Are you absolutely certain you want to recall three quite honorable and quite honorably elected assembly members? Are you absolutely certain that their remaining in office will mean the demise of Haines as you know it?
Please reconsider what you’re doing both in terms of traditional, time-tested guidance about honorable human behavior and in light of the resilience of Haines and all its people – we, who make every effort to the best of our abilities, to do what’s best for most of us most of the time. Justice certainly matters and love is what it’s all about, Don. You know this, please lead like you know love is absolutely essential.
