I was saddened but not surprised by the news report concerning the ill treatment of two of our assembly members by some in the community.
As an individual who has been subject to cruel gossip and lies, I know all too well how unfair and unjust such treatment can be.
These assembly people do us a great service, and although I do not always agree with all their decisions, I will stand up and defend their right as individuals to go about their business without fear of retribution.
I would like to thank these assembly persons, both past and present, for their service to the community.
