Last weekend’s doll fair, “At the Movies,” was another wonderful event for our younger Haines residents and their parents. Our 39th annual Doll Fair, it could not have come off so well without the volunteer efforts of Junior Curators Sally Chapell and Matilda Rogers, and adults Jila Stuart, Becky Nash and Leigh Horner. Thank you so much for installing the doll exhibit, preparing tables and tea, and creating crafts for the children, including doll hair extensions and tiaras, miniature popcorn and miniature “Oscars.” A special thank you to all the families that brought adorable, doll-sized treats, and to Community Coordinator Madeline Witek for organizing this year’s Doll Fair. The doll fair was the first time we used our new children’s exhibit space. The space was created by Sarah (Aly) Zeiger, Jackie St. Clair, Julie Folta, Diane Sly, Holly Smith, Alyx Habra, Aurora Alten-Huber, Brandt Alten-Huber, Dave Dzenawagis, and Ryan (Rhino) Parker. Once again, thank you everyone for giving the children of Haines a magical memory. If you have Doll Fair pictures from this year or past years, we would love to have copies for the museum!
