You know, the U.S. Congress could save this country a great deal of time, trouble, and money if it would just declare this coming November election null and void, on the grounds that neither major party has nominated a candidate that is morally or ethically fit to be president of the United States.

They could name the present speaker of the House to be president-pro tem for one year, start the whole nomination/election sequence over again next spring (this year’s candidates being ineligible, of course), and see what we can come up with for November 2017.

Anything would be better than what we have now. Just saying.
