The assembly, at this moment, appears to be preparing to charge every household in the valley $40 a month for garbage regardless of the amount or if it is picked up or delivered.
I don’t know about you but I’m struggling with the bills I have, let alone such a large amount for, at the end of the month, a dozen or so cans that I recycle.
What happens if a person cannot pay? Do you fine them and then put them in jail? Why should any of us continue to recycle if the assembly does not honor our efforts? This is the way things are done in communist countries.
Shouldn’t the people of this valley have a say in this?
