A few years ago, the Chamber of Commerce thought it would be a good idea to have a flower bed in front of the parking lot at Third Avenue and Main Street. When George Mark was here it was beautiful, but he’s not here anymore, nobody wants to take care of it, and it looks like a hay farm. Last year I paid the man who cuts my grass to mow it, one time only, and he does a beautiful job. But I’m not going to make a habit of that. George Mark would be ashamed to see Mark’s Park now.
