We would like to publicly thank all those people who have so incredibly touched our lives; for the benefit auction, which was held on our behalf to help cover the medical expenses that far exceeded our insurance, for those people who prepared it, cooked the food, served the people and then stuck around to clean up. We’d like to thank our auctioneer, JoAnn Waterman, and to thank our advocate, Tammy Rush, who joyfully solicited contributions from individuals and local merchants, and to thank those merchants and the Presbyterian Church. Also, we’d like to thank all of the bakers, artists, poets, musicians and instrument restorationists. Thank you to all who came and shared tacos with us and gave us hugs. Thank you to two men, who really like their homemade jam. But most of all, we want to say thank you to all those who prayed, and worried, and hoped for us. Especially we want to thank Victoria Hansen, whose audible prayers, not only for her salvation, but for Martha’s and ours as well, were a constant comfort to me as we searched the skies and the sea for our rescue.
