The executive committee of American Legion Post #12 is encouraging all members of the American Legion Auxiliary who are interested in reactivating their organization to attend a special meeting to be held on Feb. 9 at 6 p.m. in the upper level of the American Legion. The auxiliary is a nationwide women’s patriotic service organization. In the past, the auxiliary has been a very active and vital part of the American Legion and the Haines community. We would like to encourage and certainly welcome you to become so again. We also invite anyone who wishes to become a member of the auxiliary to attend this meeting, as we welcome all newcomers.
