Foundation hits goal of $35K match

The Chilkat Valley Community Foundation exceeded its $35,000 goal, matching a challenge grant of the same amount set by Alaska’s Rasmuson Foundation.

The local foundation had until Dec. 31 to raise as much as $35,000 to receive matching funds from Rasmuson. “We put on a push to try to meet that match and our donors were able to do that,” said Crystal Badgley, co-chair of the local foundation. The group raised $40,246 during the drive.
