What is the most important piece of the puzzle to help Haines Borough maintain its integrity? The citizens of Haines must maintain a voice in government! With revolving doors at both the police department and borough manager positions, decisions must be made that benefit the economic climate of Haines to enhance free enterprise and help Haines retain its uniqueness.
One important ingredient that has been neglected is the intangible force of imagination. The roots or source of this creative and thought-provoking idea is hidden in the spiritual. Why not invite the clergy in Haines to offer their insights and support through a petition to the creator of the big picture in Haines? I have attended many Alaska communities’ borough meetings and many offer a positive prayer to begin their meetings, i.e. Metlakatla, Fairbanks, etc.
