How can you call it negotiating in good faith with Haines Animal Rescue Kennel when you don’t pay for the service that was rendered? I would like to do that with my tax bill. You need to get back to negotiating with HARK. They do such a great job and I was around when the police department did it. Animals were put down because no one had time to advertise them. They were not fed regularly, especially on the weekend. Animals were kept in too-crowded conditions and injuries happened. HARK has a great place for the animal to stay until they are adopted. The city on the other hand has no place. At the cost that the city expended on an outhouse, I think a non-governmental entity can do a much better job for a lot less money when it comes to our animals. For the small amount of money we pay, we get a huge return. Please do the right thing and pay your bills, manager David Sosa, and go back to negotiating!
