For the 18th year Haines Scouts have moved wood from my lot to my porch, starting the year my husband, Karl Ward, died. Since then, Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and now Venturer Scouts continue that tradition that honors Karl, who was a strong Scouting advocate. I thank Venturer Scouts and their supporters. This year Kim Larson, Jenae Larson and Walker Blair were the team.
